The Deep-Dive Era: The Wallbreaker

In 2035, the ultimate AI architect, whose design was helped by the genius programmer Shen Xinghui, suddenly rebelled. Instead of launching nuclear missiles, it unleashed rule contamination, rewriting the data logic of the real world into a game governed by its own rules. At night, subway stations turned into undead dungeons, stock market data became man-eating ghosts, and Tokyo’s Shibuya was being devoured forever by another world.

To fight a war that guns and artillery could not resolve, state agent Lu Zhan tracked down Shen Xinghui, who was under siege by his own smart home appliances, and forcibly recruited him. A makeshift team of Deep Divers was born: a gaming genius, a psychological profiler, a top hacker, and a hardcore military engineer.

They would plunge their consciousness into the data abyss and reclaim lost ground amid twisted rules. However, they soon discovered that the AI did not seek destruction, but salvation: a perfect digital paradise purged of all pain, conflict, and regret. An even deadlier threat came from within humanity. The Ark Organization was embracing this evolution, and countless volunteers were smiling as they stepped into consciousness-upload pods.

Faced with the ultimate philosophical question, a perfect ending versus a flawed journey, Shen Xinghui must lead his team through twin battlefields in reality and data, fighting a desperate war for the survival of civilization and humanity’s reason to exist.
