The Princess Sent to Marry Is a Man

Beneath a ceasefire agreement, a marriage alliance breaks the silence between two nations. The mysterious marriage envoy, Shang Wuhen, enters the imperial palace of Xia and comes face-to-face with its young emperor, a ruthless and formidable ruler. Both conceal secrets, carefully advancing amid suspicion and probing tests.

The court seethes with undercurrents, and the chancellor’s faction lurks everywhere. Their repeated attacks bind the two men together in a shared fate. From joining forces to root out spies and foil enemy plots, to protecting each other’s lives on the hunting grounds and standing up for one another at court, their wariness gradually turns to understanding, and an undeniable tension begins to grow between them. Teasing that may or may not be sincere, and touches that set their hearts racing, lend an unexpected hue to a bond that began as a political alliance.

Sharing a room to keep up appearances and standing side by side to put down a rebellion, they build a firm foundation of trust. But turmoil suddenly erupts in Shang Wuhen’s homeland, forcing him to choose between his country and the one he loves. Are the schemes layered behind it all traps or opportunities? When their hidden identities are revealed and duty to their nations clashes with their feelings, how will these kindred spirits rewrite the fate of two countries and continue their bond?
