[Village Veterinarian + Treasure Appraisal + Beast Taming + Invincible Divine Doctor]
Chen Fan, a livestock-farming graduate, is dragged off to help the village beauty deliver a calf.
While trying to save the calf, which is stuck in its mother, Chen Fan accidentally has his palm pierced by a horn. His blood activates the ancestral Shennong Ring.
The ring turns out to contain a remnant soul of the ancient Beast God, Baize!
To help Baize restore its divine soul, Chen Fan accepts its legacy.
He gains the Shennong Herbal Compendium, which lets him identify medicinal herbs across the world and refine divine pills.
He masters the Mind-Linking Art of Ten Thousand Beasts, allowing him to communicate with birds and animals and command all beasts.
He learns the Azure Emperor’s Longevity Needles, which can heal people and beasts and even bring the dead back to life.
From then on, while others herd cattle, he raises tigers. While others walk dogs, he takes eagles for a stroll.
With a posse of animal sidekicks, he hunts for treasure, appraises antiques, makes money, and dishes out face-slapping, while beauties from all walks of life flock to him.
