Basketball Legend: Yi Jianlian's Road to Olympic Gold

If you had one chance to start over, would you dare to win back every lost opportunity?

In 2023, 34-year-old Yi Jianlian plays basketball with a smile on a variety show, his Achilles tendon having ruptured three times. But late one night, after seeing the news that “China's men's basketball team failed to make the Asian Cup quarterfinals,” he gazes silently out at the sea.

The game-winning shot that bounced off the rim in 2008, his tragic, solitary struggle in 2019... Countless regrets become waves that engulf him.

When he opens his eyes again, he hears:

“Yi, are you ready for your NBA debut?”
