Deserted Island: I Built a New Civilization

After driving for eighteen hours straight, Li Yang blacks out. When he opens his eyes again, his entire delivery truck has somehow ended up on an unfamiliar beach.

This is nowhere he recognizes. Two moons hang in the sky, and cries he cannot understand mingle with the sound of the waves. Twenty women surround him, armed with stone spears and bows, dressed in primitive clothing but with alluring figures.

They cannot understand each other, and fear fills their eyes. They have lost all their men and are on the brink of extinction.

But Li Yang has brought more than supplies that have crossed time and space in the truck: a toolbox, first-aid medicine, modern seeds, and the entire store of human knowledge saved on his phone.

Starting with their first exchange of gestures, then building the first rain shelter and making the first iron harpoon, he is forced to become the only hope for these twenty women.

But survival is only the beginning.

When the first enemy tribe’s canoe appears on the horizon, when ancient ruins reveal that the “two moons” are no natural phenomenon, and when a yellowed diary buried deep in the truck points to an even more astonishing secret, Li Yang realizes that what they must build is far more than a tribe.

He will lead these women, abandoned by fate, from kindling fire by friction to mastering the sails, from a matriarchal clan to the separation of powers, and rekindle the fires of civilization across an archipelago still shrouded in ignorance.

This is only the start of an epic journey across the ocean, into the heart of continental kingdoms, and ultimately toward the truth of the world.

When the truck’s final secret is revealed, Li Yang will answer the ultimate question: Given knowledge and the spark of fire, what kind of new world can a group of women with nothing create?

Beneath the twin moons, there are no men. Then let women become civilization itself.
