1988: I Brought Scientists Back from Moscow

Moscow, 1988. Bread costs more than gold. A top nuclear physicist sells medals on the street, while an aviation propulsion genius hauls sacks at the train station. Lu Feng, reborn, carries not a down jacket but two full sacks of premium rice and cured meat.

He doesn't go to the black market to sell his goods. He goes to university dormitories to “save people.”

“Professor Andrei, this sack of flour will feed your family for a month. In exchange, come teach in the East.”

From semiconductor blueprints to aircraft engines, from stealth coatings to satellite technology, Lu Feng uses the most basic foodstuffs to set in motion the greatest migration of talent in human history.
