When Xia Wantao went to a nightclub to scout it out, she took a liking to a musician onstage.

He was a poor student, and she did everything she could to recruit him to her venue.

Before she could hire him, an accident led to her sleeping with him.

When she woke up, all she found was a few hundred yuan in loose change by the bed.

Xia Wantao: “I thought of you as a friend, and you actually thought I was that kind of woman?!”

Five years later, Jiang Xiansheng had become a fairly well-known singer.

She paid a hefty fee to hire him to perform regularly at her venue.

He tossed out a black card. “Miss, about what happened five years ago... let me pay you back.”

The people around them misunderstood. “So you supported him back then? He's such a decent guy, paying back what he borrowed.”

She forced a smile as she took the card, but he didn't let go right away.

“I have plenty of money. I want to keep buying many more nights with you.”

Xia Wantao: “...”

The hostesses sighed with relief. “Well, now I feel better. Turns out the boss does that sort of thing too.”
