I considered a lot when designing the character Chen Xinglan. If I just follow the main plot of "Restart", I won't be able to build a complete and vivid her. She needs her own soil and her own root system to grow, rather than being grafted onto someone else's vines. So she had her own story line and let the original characters participate, becoming a real bond in her life.
I hope she is a person of flesh and blood - with her own pain, her own choices, her own weight, her own hesitations and weaknesses.
Unfortunately, as a novice, my writing skills are not enough to fully express her in my mind. She is clearer and more three-dimensional in my mind than on the screen.
The author is actually very emotional. When writing a rational and intelligent character, he needs to work hard to think from her perspective, make choices, and restrain those instinctive emotions.
