My new work is out! You're welcome to read it on Tomato Novel. I hope you'll enjoy it. Your support motivates me to write, and I'll do my best to tell every story well!
The novel's central storyline follows Lin Jianjun, a rural youth born in the 1970s. With the tenacity of someone from a poor family and exceptional political savvy, he rises from temporary work at a commune into the officialdom. He struggles and schemes through the political chess game, climbing the bureaucratic ladder from township to county to city. He rises against the odds to become a county magistrate, only to lose sight of his original purpose at the peak of power and ultimately fall into the mire of corruption. The novel captures both the thrill of a poor young man's rise through the ranks and the sorrow of his downfall, with gripping power struggles and tangled affairs of love and hate.
