Weaving Tales of Ghosts and Gods

Chen Yuan lands a job as an archivist at a Taoist temple on Mount Qingcheng, thinking he's secured a stable job for life.

The archives he manages are divided into three levels: the White Registers record strange tales, the Yellow Scrolls document real ghosts, and the Blood Archives hold things that cannot be spoken of: the “Rules.”

Then he finds a photo of himself as a baby in a drawer. Written in blood on the back are the words: “Your file is in the Blood Archives. Number 00.”

At that very moment, the file on the sealed Red-Dressed Bride suddenly comes back to life. The figure in the photograph turns toward him

“It's your turn to write the Rules now, Keeper of the Archives.”
