Humanity has been relentlessly plundering nature, burning through the world's reserves of fortune and vital energy. Extreme weather keeps striking one after another, and even the air is filled with a gloomy miasma of negativity. The Heavenly Realm is frantic, and sends twelve divine officers with the bloodlines of the zodiac down to save the day. Their divine powers are sealed and they must pass as ordinary people. They have just one mission: find the spirit-vein nodes and refill Earth's "energy bar"!
Twenty-six-year-old landscape designer Long Xi has just been hit by a double blow: her boyfriend cheated on her, and her design was plagiarized. What she doesn't know is that she's secretly a powerhouse, the Dragon divine officer of Chen, whose strength is second to none. She only lost her divine status because her earth soul went missing. On a gloomy stroll in the rain one night, she finds herself inexplicably stepping into a pet shop, where she falls for a jade-green, black-scaled king snake and names him "Xiao Qing," bringing him home as an emotional dumping ground. She has no idea that Xiao Qing is actually the emergency snake form of Si Chen, the Snake divine officer of Si.
Then an accident forces Si Chen to burn through his spiritual power to save Long Xi, and he is forced to reveal his true form: a cool, handsome man. He dumps the whole scoop about the divine officers' mission and the crisis facing the world on Long Xi. The two are forced into a "temporary pact." From a mini spirit vein beneath an old city well to the ultimate challenges hidden in famous mountains and rivers, they team up with divine officers of all stripes to fight the villains known as the "Erosion Qi" who are stealing spirit veins. As they bicker and work together to repair the veins, Long Xi slowly rediscovers herself. This is a warm and funny story about a cool Snake divine officer who dotes tenderly on his beloved, and a lonely office worker who becomes a savior. It's also a tale of people and nature finding their way to each other. In the end, Dragon and Snake join forces and power up, restoring Earth's fortune with love and responsibility!
