Over Manhattan in New York City, a purple crack opened silently. The building folds geometrically without any external force - the upper half of Stark Tower suddenly appears three blocks away, while its base remains in place. Pedestrians on the street are as still as freeze frames, cars are suspended in mid-air, and raindrops are rising upward. In the SHIELD emergency command center, Nick Fury stared at the holographic projection with one eye. In the center of the screen was a 16-year-old Asian girl huddled in the ruins of Times Square. The space around her was cracked like broken glass.
"Found her," Maria Hill's voice came, "but she's not on any dimensional coordinates we know of."
Fury pressed the communicator: "Calling the Avengers. This is not any enemy we are familiar with."
"Or," a deep voice came from the door, and Doctor Strange's levitating cloak fluttered slightly, "she is not an enemy at all."
