One day, a "tide of inner demons" breaks out in the three realms, causing mortals to go crazy, gods and gods to become demons, and even the pure land of Lingshan has cracks. While Sun Wukong was suppressing his inner demons, he accidentally got involved in a strange space called the "Jinghua Realm". This was actually the place where the inner demons that he and his master and disciples had ignored materialized during their tribulations. The one who controls the Mirror Flower Realm is the remnant soul of the six-eared macaque that was killed by Sun Wukong back then. He swallowed the resentment of all the demons that were killed on the way to obtain the scriptures, and turned it into the inner demon of Sun Wukong.
