Showbiz: I Asked You to Make a Graduation Project, So What Is This Mecha?

Reborn in 2005, on the eve of his graduation defense.

Xu Jingzhe was publicly humiliated by his campus-beauty girlfriend, who stole his idea and mocked him for only knowing how to fiddle with “little kids' suit models.”

Faced with his advisor's push to drop out and a capital-backed industry blacklist, Xu Jingzhe just smiled.

Date? Even a dog wouldn't bother!

In this life, he'll use a movie-making industry decades ahead of its time to teach the entertainment world a lesson!

“You were supposed to make a graduation project, and you made Pacific Rim?”

At the defense, when a hundred-meter-tall mech tore through the sky, the entire school was left dumbfounded!

Who says tokusatsu is just for kids?

With miniature models, motion capture, and holographic effects, Xu Jingzhe catapulted Chinese-language cinema into the age of blockbuster filmmaking!

“Director Xu, please stop selling toys and hurry up with the sequel!”

While his peers were going gray worrying about box-office numbers, Xu Jingzhe had already made billions selling transformation belts and mech models!

Hollywood cried out, “His movie effects look like documentaries, while ours look like cartoons!”

From The Rise of the Titans to The Age of Machines, he went from a graduation-project director everyone mocked to the godfather of global entertainment.

Xu Jingzhe: Honestly, I just wanted to sell a toy and maybe win an Oscar along the way.
