Spring Blossoms in the Old Palace

[The Cold Palace's Abandoned Consort Is Actually a Modern Medical Doctor]

Lu Tanger wakes up as an abandoned consort in the depths of the palace, and from the start, she discovers that the soil in her cold palace is poisonous.

The “Spring Begonia” plaque bestowed by the emperor releases mercury fumes day and night, fumes that could kill her.

If she wants to survive, she can only rely on herself.

So

When a palace maid develops a high fever, Lu Tanger saves her with a bowl of medicine.

When an embroiderer loses her sight, one needle is all it takes to cure her.

When a princess has been coughing for three years and the Imperial Hospital is helpless, Lu Tanger's fumigation treatment lets her sleep soundly through the night.

The news spreads, and a long line forms outside the cold palace.

But now, people have their eyes on her.

The Min family of the Imperial Hospital has dominated medicine for five generations. They will not tolerate another female physician.

Auntie Zhou, who serves the empress dowager, smiles as she offers Lu Tanger a cup of poisoned tea.

The emperor, who sees her as a stand-in, pushes open her door late at night

“Lady Lu, I can't sleep.”

She kneels on the floor, fingers resting on his pulse, her mind perfectly clear.

Everyone in this palace is sick.

And she is a physician.
