In the late Tang Dynasty, the vassal towns were separated and the world was in chaos. Li Cunxu, the son of Li Keyong, the governor of Hedong Jiedu, had great ambitions and determined to unify the Central Plains and revive the glory of the Tang Dynasty. He has been brave and good at fighting since he was a child. During a battle, he rescued a poor girl {Liu Yuniang} who was robbed by rebel soldiers. {Liu Yuniang} is extremely intelligent and has repeatedly made suggestions for {Li Cunxu}, helping him to annex neighboring towns and defeat powerful enemies. {Li Cunxu} loved her very much and helped her become his wife. As his power grew, {Li Cunxu} became increasingly obsessed with sex and neglected military and political affairs. {Liu Yuniang} also became greedy and selfish, and began to interfere in government affairs and frame Zhongliang. General Guo Chongtao was falsely accused of treason by Liu Yuniang because of his outspoken advice, and he died unjustly, which caused the morale of the army to be disorganized. In the end, the Weizhou mutiny broke out, {Li Cunxu} died tragically in the rebel army, and {Liu Yuniang} could not escape the fate of destruction.
