The down-and-out screenwriter was reborn in Hong Kong in 1985, and used future knowledge to help costar Zhou Xingxing become the king of comedy. The two made rapid progress in the golden age, but faced brotherly conflicts of ideas, capital encirclement and love choices, and ultimately changed the landscape of Chinese films together.
