Nanye
Autumn, Year 15 of Jiaming
They say the infamous disabled God of War, Prince Ning Lu Huanzhi, has married Lin Xiangwan, the illegitimate daughter of the Minister of Revenue.
Some say Prince Ning is renowned far and wide, and a mere illegitimate daughter is beneath him.
Others sneer, “His Highness Prince Ning is crippled now. Of course he can’t afford to be picky.”
There are countless rumors in the capital, but Lu Huanzhi scoffs at them all:
“At least this marriage will bring real benefits to my brothers in the Northern Army. It’s just one more person in my household, so I don’t care.”
“If she knows her place, I’ll keep her around as a decoration and trade her for provisions and military funds. If she doesn’t, I’ll kill her.”
After drinking, he tore open her dress, only to freeze when he saw the old scars on her body.
