Fire's Song on the Gui River

Forty-year-old has-been streamer Lin Wanqing discovers that the collapse of her family's century-old dragon kiln has unearthed Ming-dynasty human bones carved with a children's rhyme, along with the first living lead in her mother's disappearance thirty years ago. This place almost overlaps with Earth and is also called Beiliu, but it isn't quite the same Beiliu. Rare-earth veins let pottery record the final words of the dead. Twenty-three human-shaped clay figures lie sealed beneath the cannery's pool, and her mother is somewhere at the bottom of the river. By day, she livestreams herself playing with clay; by night, she descends into the underworld with her childhood sweetheart. They say a woman is past her prime at forty? She fires a celadon flower from tofu dregs, and it becomes evidence. Every chapter brings a dialect gag, and every three chapters come with a high-energy warning for a reflection in someone's pupils.
