[Dual Male Leads | Urban Healing | Mutual Salvation | Slow-Burn Romance | Extra-Sweet Happy Ending]
At twenty-six, Lin Ye is framed by a rival in his industry. His studio is on the verge of bankruptcy, and he is suffering from creative burnout. Hounded by clients and the media, he has nowhere left to turn.
Like a trapped animal, he stumbles into a brick-paved alley in the old part of town, where he meets twenty-five-year-old Gu Xun, a restorer of ancient books. Gu Xun runs a restoration studio on the brink of closing. He is gentle but sharp-tongued, and comes from a once-prominent family of scholars.
Desperate, Lin Ye clings to him like a lifeline, swallowing his pride and pestering him for help until he forces his way into Gu Xun’s life.
One is an “architecture” on the verge of collapse, the other an “ancient book” gathering dust and awaiting repair. Two disillusioned adults find warmth in one another amid the everyday bustle of the old alley, and save each other in turn.
This is definitely the least "industrial saccharine" article I have read in recent times. The author's handling of the two characters Lin Ye and Gu Xun is precise down to every tiny movement. Recommended recommendation 😘 😘 😘
