Siheyuan: Turning the Tables and Putting the Yard's Troublemakers in Their Place

When Zhao Yang opens his eyes, he's an ordinary mailman in the world of Love in the Courtyard.

The neighbors all say the job means getting battered by the wind and sun, and that its only reward is the “honor” in its name. Then one day, Yi Zhonghai once again takes charge of the whole courtyard meeting, insisting that only his word matters. A soft ding rings out in Zhao Yang's mind:

[The Beast-Tormenting System has been activated.]

One letter of accusation is all it takes to bring the respected “First Master” down for good.

Zhao Yang has plenty of time, and plenty of ways to deal with them. Not one of them is getting away.

And while he's setting this gang of villains straight, his own life just keeps getting better. While everyone else is scheming over their few ration coupons for grain and fabric, he's already got his finger on the pulse of the times.

The world of the 1950s is far wider than this courtyard full of beasts.
