The protagonist, Gu Bei (alias Anyuan), died suddenly in the modern society. When he opened his eyes, he was transformed into the young master of Juren in the farm outside Bianliang City in the Northern Song Dynasty. He was in coma for three years because of his success in the imperial examination. On the surface, this man was naughty and shameless, but he was very knowledgeable when it came to trouble. With the small buff of modern knowledge and the bonus of being a civil servant, he accidentally tied up with Zhao Zongshi, the future Song Yingzong. The main plot revolves around Renzong's turmoil in establishing the throne in his later years, and the daily conflicts and external aggression in Yingzong's court. Gu Bei uses down-to-earth methods to help Zhao Zongshi cure his anxiety disorder and rectify the imperial court.
