Nameless Heights Beneath the Steel Helmet: Blood-Red Wheels

“Damn it, it’s our turn again!” The dull thud of a helmet being pulled on is the signal to head for the meat grinder. There are no heroes here, only ordinary soldiers fighting to survive through repeated rotations on the front line. From new recruits who wet their pants to battle-hardened veterans who know every trick for staying alive, they use iron pots as shields and reflect sunlight to throw off snipers. When the survivors finally make it to relief, they discover that the cruelest battle is carrying on with the belongings of the dead. This is a true record of the battlefield, written in dirt, blood, and the sounds of home.
