Sin and Glory

[Border Defense Officer × Propaganda Specialist | Older Woman, Younger Man | Two Powerful Leads in a Painful Romance | Intense Push and Pull | A Story of Redemption] On her first day reporting for duty, civilian doctoral researcher Lin Wei butted heads with the model propaganda team of the entire army. The camera swung around and focused on Shen Yi, the troublemaking trainee who had made an unauthorized leap during the selection trials and been ostracized by his entire team. Everyone said, “That trainee is too cocky, and that PhD is insane.” But through her camera, she saw through his hard exterior to the loneliness and genius beneath. “He didn’t break the rules. He used his head to fight.” A packet of tissues and a smile became the only light in his world. For her, he reined in his sharp edges and learned to dance within the rules. For him, she stood up to the doubters, even at the risk of her own future. From the academy to the borderlands, from youthful innocence to the fires of battle, they thought their greatest obstacles were the 2,300 kilometers between them and the strict discipline. Then a sealed, top-secret report came crashing down: She was the “responsible party” whose actions had indirectly led to his father’s death. The confidants of old became enemies in an instant. “Shen Yi, if loving you means carrying the guilt over your father forever, what am I supposed to do?” “Lin Wei, if the reason I hate you is that I love you too deeply, how am I supposed to choose?” This is a dangerous dance on the edge of the line of discipline, and the ultimate redemption amid love and guilt, hatred and pain.
