“Yu is dead.”

Yutian Ai gazed at Yu’s gruesome corpse.

Her abdomen had been pierced clean through, and she’d been tossed onto the grass like a piece of trash.

“Looks like things [over there] didn’t work out…”

Ai looked to her side. Abe Ayuji stood there, her expression perfectly calm.

“What do we do?”

“Nothing. It’s just another failed attempt.”

“Stubborn as ever.”

Ai sighed helplessly. She knew she couldn’t match Ayuji’s single-minded determination.

“So, this time, the point we’re going back to is…?”

“The very beginning.”

“…”

Ai fell silent.

“Back then… we hadn’t met yet, had we…?”

Ayuji nodded. For a moment, the atmosphere was utterly still.

“Then… don’t die…”

That was the last piece of advice Ai could offer. She didn’t know if the two of them would meet again next time.

“Of course.”

The goal in Ayuji’s heart was firmer than anyone else’s.

“Then, goodbye.”
