Surviving in the Dregs Zone After the Apocalypse

Sunlight pierces the heavy clouds of dust, briefly illuminating the ravaged earth. The smoke of war has yet to clear, and signs of life struggle on amid the rubble and ruins. Shen Mo stands atop the collapsed remains of the Ironwall City of old, gazing toward the unknown lands in the distance. He is no longer a scavenger struggling at the very bottom, but neither is he the savior people imagine him to be. The survivors gather behind him of their own accord, their eyes mingling exhaustion, hope, and uncertainty. A new day has begun, but rebuilding will be far harder than destruction. His fight is far from over; it has merely taken a different form. On this eternal "Zone of Dregs," he will try to build an imperfect future. He clenches his fist as new power flows through his palm, and takes his first step in silence.
