Qianfeng, the coronation ceremony of the Queen
In the first year of Qianfeng's reign, Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi decided to enshrine Mount Tai in order to demonstrate the majesty of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and consolidate the imperial power. As the queen of heaven, Wu Zhao was unwilling to lurk behind the emperor. She pointed her sword at the thousand-year-old ethics and wanted to break the iron law that "women are not allowed to go to the altar to offer sacrifices" and stand on the altar of power as a submissive.
In the court hall, the officials and Confucian scholars cited scriptures to vehemently object, and the old clan secretly plotted murder; in his sick bed, Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi wavered between dependence and suspicion. Wu Zhao worked step by step, stirred up the situation with the hands of his cronies, and resolved the assassination crisis on the east patrol road. At the Zen Ceremony on Sheshou Mountain, without waiting for the call, he resolutely walked out of the curtain, dressed in sun and moon sacrificial robes, and climbed up the stairs to face the horrified eyes of the officials.
At the end of the ceremony, she used amnesty and rewards for merit to win over people's hearts, and used thunderous means to eliminate opposition forces, paving the way for her future dynasty. This Mount Tai ceremony is not only a grand ceremony for the emperor, but also the coronation ceremony of a generation of queens.
