Beyond Hongmeng: The Gatekeeper's Secret History

Do you think the creation of the world was ordained by Heaven’s Will? Do you think the great cataclysms of the Primordial World are the destiny of all living things?

No. It is all a cycle of reincarnation spanning billions of years, a grand deception.

Lin Chen awakens in the primordial void with no memories. The only thing in his consciousness is the Hongmeng Gate, which can divine the future and revisit the past. He devours primordial purple qi, allies with Chaos Demon Gods, secretly seizes Dao Fruits amid their slaughter, and claims his share of the opportunities when Pangu splits the heavens and earth.

As his cultivation deepens, fragments of memory emerge: he was the Gatekeeper of the previous epoch, who cast his True Spirit into the river of time to prevent the world’s destruction. The so-called “Annihilation faction” turns out to be fallen former Gatekeepers, sustaining their immortality by devouring worlds.

At the end of the cycle, will he become nourishment for an Annihilator, or break the loop and transcend it?

Standing at the source of the river of time, Lin Chen faces the ultimate choice: protect the living beings of the present, or sever the past from the future? In the end, he fuses three powers and becomes the tenth Transcendent. With the Hongmeng Gate, he subdues the myriad heavens, ends the cycle, and ensures that life will endure forever.
