During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, trade prospered along the Tea Horse Road in the six major tea mountains of Pu'er Prefecture, and conflicts between various ethnic groups and tribes continued over tea resources, trade routes and ancient beliefs. Yanhan, a young man from the Wa ethnic group, is accidentally involved in the struggle for control of the Pu'er Tea Mountain in order to find the truth about the genocide 18 years ago, and gradually uncovers a secret that spans all ethnic groups and concerns the treasure of the ancient tea ancestor.
