In the distant future, mankind has long forgotten the earth, but finds a "breathing" black stone at the end of the universe - it is not a mineral, but an ancient consciousness that has been sleeping for hundreds of millions of years. When the first exploration ship touched it, the entire fleet's memory was instantly rewritten, and everyone fell into a collective hallucination: they thought they were the people of God, and the black stone was the key to creation.
The protagonist Lin Che, an archaeologist who lost all his memory due to an accident, unexpectedly became the only person who could hear the whispers of the Black Stone when it woke up. He discovered that the Black Stone is not a destroyer, but the "civilization tester" of the universe - it devours civilization only to filter out the wisdom that is truly worthy of continuation. What's even more frightening is that there is a genetic code homologous to Blackstone buried in his body.
When the Alliance fleet launches an interstellar war for the Black Stone, Lin Che must choose between betraying all mankind and awakening the truth. His only ally was the former commander who personally destroyed his memory. The two repeatedly tore trust between illusion and reality.
