Wei Ying Joins the Lan Clan

Wei Ying lost both his parents when he was young and ended up homeless on the streets. Lan Zhan happened upon the lonely, helpless child and fought against everyone’s objections to bring him back to Cloud Recesses. Lan Qiren reluctantly agreed, and Wei Ying was formally adopted into the Lan family. Lan Zhan became his protector, staying by his side as he grew up. They ate and slept together, and the jingshi became their warmest refuge. Wei Ying’s liveliness and Lan Zhan’s cool reserve made a delightful contrast. Wei Ying turned Cloud Recesses upside down, while Lan Zhan quietly covered for him, taking his punishments and keeping him safe. Lan Qiren might grumble about him, but he still taught him with care. Wei Ying became the most unique member of the Lan clan. Between the Lan clan’s refined discipline and his own lively nature, he forged a path to adulthood unlike anything in the original story. Their bond took root in childhood, and in the end, they became each other’s one and only.
