Managing this city is exhausting enough. Managing a boss who wants to die every single day is even worse.
Here, the manager, “he,” bears the heavy responsibility of keeping District A alive, yet the endless duties have brought him to the brink of collapse. One of his daily fantasies is to leap from the rooftop, firmly convinced it would be a “brilliant idea.”
His only companion and witness is Xurong, a white-haired, blue-eyed girl. She knows a secret: none of this is happening for the first time. She has watched him jump, taken on the burden herself, and witnessed the absurd outcome.
When the manager once again stands on the windowsill and livestreams his own end to the whole city in a grand, deranged “performance,” the chains holding the world together snap, and an unspeakable horror descends.
This time, the divine patterns in Xurong’s eyes go out completely. She puts down the resignation letter she had prepared long ago and picks up her suitcase.
The world is ending? What does that have to do with her? This “former savior,” tired of the same old script, just wants to take a vacation.
So, on the day destruction arrived, the city’s current strongest fighter set off on a trip, having given up on trying.
