[An ensemble of unhinged go-getters + a powerful, beautiful, tragic female lead × a devoted, healing, top-tier star actor]
[Feel-good revenge + entertainment industry + face-slapping + wealthy families + ensemble cast + an elite support squad + mutual redemption]
Three years ago, the musical genius Vesper was cyberbullied as a has-been, betrayed by her ex-boyfriend, and humiliated by his mother with five million yuan.
Heartbroken and disillusioned, she burned her manuscripts, opened a milk tea shop in S City, and resolved to become a useless good-for-nothing.
The shop also took in two other “good-for-nothings”: her genius perfumer best friend, whose teacher plagiarized her work and got her blacklisted, and her rich second-generation pal, who ran away from home to escape an arranged marriage.
Three people, one shop, and one guiding principle: “Give up on life and stay out of the world’s business.”
Until old acquaintances started showing up one after another:
Ex-boyfriend: Wanzhou, come back and write songs for me. I’ll let you go back to being my shadow.
Mu Wanzhou: Get lost.
Plagiarist teacher: Zhou Yingdi, you dare show your face again? Think I can’t make sure you’re driven out of S City too?
The CEO, Chu Yan, sipping tea in the corner: Why don’t you try?
The family that wanted her to marry: Ji Yunwan, your father cut off your cards. Let’s see how you expect to open a bar now!
Mu Wanzhou, handing over a card: It’s my best friend’s bar. I invested in it. The password is six eights.
At last, the nation’s top actor and her childhood friend, Jiang Yufeng, cornered her at the bar.
Jiang Yufeng, eyes red: Sister, everyone’s trying to take what belongs to you. Now it’s my turn to take you.
The little shop “Simple Times,” famous across the internet, is owned by Vesper, a legend in the music world. The bar next door belongs to a rich heiress, the perfumer on the second floor has won international awards, and the man who comes to pick up the shop owner every day is a three-time Golden Award-winning actor.
Netizens: What kind of dream team is this?! Is it still too late to invest?!
