In the twelfth lunar month of 1993, 26-year-old A Qiang returned to his hometown after years of working away, and his mother promptly arranged a blind date for him. He had dropped out of school to care for his sick father, then spent years working elsewhere to pay off their debts. With his skin dark and rough, he was rejected by the daughter of the Li family, who said he looked old.
On the way home, he ran into an aunt from the Wang family. After hearing his story, she said bluntly, “I have a daughter too!” and took the initiative to set them up. The next day, A Qiang met the Wang family’s daughter at his maternal aunt’s house. She wasn’t put off by his weathered looks; in fact, she thought he seemed manly. They hit it off at once.
After they got engaged, A Qiang went back to work away from home and returned in October to get married. After the wedding, he stopped traveling and started a construction crew in his hometown. His wife managed the household well, and his mother-in-law treated him like her own son. Years later, with his children and grandchildren gathered around him, A Qiang looked back on that chance encounter born of a twist of fate and finally understood: “Flowers planted with care may not bloom, while willows planted by chance may grow into a shady grove.”
Why no one comments 🤔
There are several brothers who are said to be brothers, but they have never appeared from the beginning to the end. Even though their mother is dead, they have never appeared. Their names are not even on the back.
