Craftsmanship Guided by Light

This is a story about “restoration”:

Restoring ancient buildings, and mending broken lives;

Passing down endangered traditional crafts, and preserving the bonds of love and loyalty;

Finding patterns in rotten wood, and seeing light through the cracks.

Lin Hanyu wields a plane, restoring beams amid a shower of wood shavings;

Xiang Bai taps out code, preserving civilization in the digital world;

Su Qingmo grinds ancient pigments, awakening memories with their mineral sheen.

What they restore has never been just old houses.
