When the blade touched her throat, Fan Qingyue smiled.
“Kill me, and you’ll be free.”
Chu Qingyu kissed away the drop of blood.
“No. I want you alive, so you can watch me love you until… even the script you wrote looks pale in comparison.”
Later:
Word in the industry was that the genius doctor who specialized in treating the obsessive had taken on a lifelong case.
The patient arrived every Thursday at three in the afternoon, bringing a new “symptom.”
“Doctor, today I want to carve your name into my ribs.”
“Approved. But I recommend the left side, closer to the heart.”
Someone asked Fan Qingyue, “Has he recovered?”
The doctor looked at his lover, painting nearby, and smiled.
“No. We’ve decided to let this illness last a lifetime.”
At Chu Qingyu’s art exhibition, the most striking work was titled “Medical Records.”
Inside a glass case were two diagnoses displayed side by side:
Fan Qingyue: Incurable obsession, cause: Chu Qingyu.
Chu Qingyu: Same as above.
In small print below: “Treatment plan: fall asleep in each other’s arms, kiss three times a day, until death, and continue after death.”
Reading guide:
▌Two obsessive lovers × two hopeless romantics, intense push and pull × taming each other
▌You think he’s on the first level, but he’s actually on the fifth. Love, meanwhile, is in the stratosphere.
▌“Treatment” is a pretense, “accomplices” is the truth, and “love” is the only prescription.
A friendly note before reading:
Please don’t imitate anything in this story in real life.
But if you meet someone who makes you willing to sign a “lifelong medical record”
congratulations, your illness is terminal, and there’s no cure.
