People no longer believe in the gods and Buddhas of mythology. Instead, they put their faith in technology. As a result, the Heavenly Way weakens and the Human Way flourishes. The gods and Buddhas across the heavens are suppressed by the Human Way and can no longer reveal themselves.
To rekindle faith and bring the immortals and gods back into the world, the gods and Buddhas bestow their respective legacies.
And this is where the story begins...
