Li Chen, a modern young man, traveled through time due to a lightning strike and became a ghost portrait of the great ancestor Zhu Yuanzhang. He was bound to the "ancestral system" and connected to the national destiny of the Ming Dynasty. Li Chen appeared as the "Apparition of Taizu" and pointed out the historical ending of Chongzhen's death. He then assisted Chongzhen with historical understanding and modern thinking, reused the forces that could control the military, obtained finances skillfully, purified the court, and adopted external strategies such as luring the enemy and stabilizing the morale of the army to curb the Hou Jin Dynasty (Huang Taiji) and various bandits. The story takes "using the wisdom of Taizu and the common sense of travelers" to rewrite the pattern of the late Ming Dynasty as the main line, interspersing real historical figures and fictional plots, trying to save the Ming Dynasty under the rule of Chongzhen and leading to different endings.

It's good to watch, but the ending is a bit too hasty!
