I’m Carrying My Fake Father-in-Law’s Baby, and I’ll Take It to Court to Seize the Throne

[Fake eunuch + political intrigue + sweet romance + both leads sexually inexperienced + wish fulfillment]

The incompetent, foolish emperor of Great Zhou tries to win over Lu Yi, the all-powerful Lord of the Nine Thousand Years, by sending him the neglected but beautiful consort Su Li to become his “eunuch wife.”

On the surface, Su Li tearfully thanks the emperor for his favor. Inwardly, she is overjoyed:

She won’t have to serve that pig-headed emperor, and she can enjoy a pampered retirement at the Lord of the Nine Thousand Years’ residence with her spirit-spring space? What a bargain!

She expects to face a vicious eunuch with a disabled body, and thinks that if she plays the chaste, unyielding maiden, they can live in peace.

But on their wedding night, the legendary Lord of the Nine Thousand Years, who supposedly has no interest in women, grabs her slender waist. His gaze burns with predatory hunger, and his voice is low and magnetic:

“Does Your Highness think you can leave my residence with your virtue intact?”

That night, Su Li discovers in horror that Lu Yi is not impotent at all. He is a ravenous wolf who devours his prey without leaving a trace!

By day, she is supposedly the emperor’s spy in the Lord of the Nine Thousand Years’ residence, feeding him false intelligence and fooling the foolish ruler.

By night, she is the Lord of the Nine Thousand Years’ cherished darling, using the spirit spring to restore his health and spending warm spring nights with him behind red silk curtains.

Until one day, at a palace banquet.

The emperor asks eagerly, “My beloved consort, how is that eunuch? Have you found any weakness?”

Before Su Li can answer, she suddenly retches.

Lu Yi, the Lord of the Nine Thousand Years, arrives at her side and casually wipes his hands. Smiling wickedly and dangerously, he pulls her into his arms in front of the entire court.

“Your Majesty asks at just the right time. I was about to share some good news: Her Highness is carrying my child. It seems the throne of Great Zhou may soon belong to the Lu family.”
