The Hairpin Resignation Edict

I thought I was playing my part perfectly, until three men showed up at my door at the same time.

My name is Su Xiao, the capital's number one wastrel.

By day, I haunt brothels and flirt with the famous courtesans. By night, I scale walls to pry into the secrets of every household.

No one knows I'm a woman.

And even fewer know that the "Su" in my name belongs to the Su family, whose entire household was executed seven years ago.

Until that day

The eldest legitimate son of the Xie family ran his sword through my shoulder and asked why I hadn't dodged.

The general returning from the frontier clutched my folding fan, his eyes red.

And a masked man smiled and said:

"Young Master Su, aren't you tired of playing the wastrel?"

I thought I could keep up the act forever.

Until I discovered that the person who murdered my entire family was one of them.

And every single one of them had saved my life ten years ago.
