[A fallen deity banished to the mortal realm x a formidable demon hunter]
I was once a demon who guarded the Gates of Hell, revered by the people as a divine general.
In recognition of my merit, the Jade Emperor appointed me Eastern Ghost Emperor, tasked with assisting Emperor Fengdu in managing the underworld.
A thousand years ago, turmoil erupted in the underworld. The Gates of Hell flew open, and countless demons and spirits poured out to wreak havoc in the mortal realm.
Furious, Emperor Fengdu rebuked me for failing to guard the gates and banished me to the mortal world, ordering me to capture every last one of the rogue demons.
A thousand years later, the world has changed beyond recognition. The cities blaze with light, and I keep watch over a shop selling burial clothes, waiting for the demons still at large...
