I’m Just Playing with Leather, I’m Really Not a Wise Ruler!

[Body-Swapping Horror, Possession and Control, Everyone Misunderstands Him, Gender-Bender, Female Emperor]

When I woke up, I had become the useless Crown Prince of Great Zhou, a man everyone hated.

The moment I arrived, my cheap old dad kicked the bucket, and I was forced into the imperial robes.

The entire court was waiting to laugh at me, and the kingdom was on the verge of collapse. That is, until I awakened two wicked talents at once: the Skin-Transplant Dao lets me strip off skin and possess others, controlling all living beings; the Nation-Destroying System promises that if I spend my life slacking off as a foolish ruler, I’ll become invincible after I die!

What kind of deal is that?

I get to work with my left hand stripping off skins and my right hand bringing down the kingdom, charging down the path of a foolish ruler. But every “good deed” I commit while wearing the skin of a beauty or a villain twists fate back toward my real body.

The traitor who tried to kill the emperor weeps as he thanks me for granting him release. My political nemesis loudly praises my wise and far-seeing rule. Twelve years into my reign, no one even knows His Majesty is a woman...

The more I try to bring disaster upon the kingdom and its people, the more the historians portray me as an emperor for the ages.

Why is being a foolish ruler so frustrating, yet so thrilling?
