Intern: You Really Think I Got This Job Through Connections?

I was reborn on the day I started my forensic internship. The whole team was waiting to laugh at me, the “nepo hire.”

Then I pointed at the body everyone thought was a suicide and said, “It was murder. The killer is one of you.”

After that, there was the woman’s body rotting at the bottom of the river, the poison in the diary, the string of disappearances... Every cold case nobody could solve ended up needing me to examine it again.

I used my skills to expose lies and prove all the people who looked down on me wrong.

But when the mastermind finally emerged, I discovered that the person who handed me a scalpel and taught me how to dissect, and the person who wanted to bury me in a mass grave, were one and the same.

This time, I’ll use what he taught me to give him a proper burial.
