[Quiet, devoted type x cheerful puppy] [Mutual pining]
Yuliting is battered by snow and wind all year round, its days cold and bleak. Every September, Laisente waits as usual for the polar night, never guessing that this time, the sun is coming instead.
Feizi has a sweet smile. He comes from Orland, where spring lasts all year.
Laisente has never dared to dwell on that smile. Remembering it feels like drinking strong liquor: it snakes down his throat, bittersweet and full of desire, kindling the fire of life within him.
Three months later, Feizi leaves, and the snow and wind return to Yuliting.
Laisente hates the snow and wind. The cold gnaws at his nerves, and his flame is on the verge of going out.
Feizi’s stay was a whim, but their reunion was long in the making.
This same snow has been falling in Orland for many years, too.
A modern-day alternate-universe extra for Feizi and the Three Crowns. It can be read on its own and does not affect the main story. Thanks for reading.
Content warnings: extensive introspection; the couple struggle to communicate at first; one has a tendency to overthink, the other to avoid confrontation; slow pacing
It's quite comfortable to read, but maybe the characters can be a little less careful and reflective, because not all people always pay attention to the status of others and their own words and deeds, and have delicate emotions, but maybe they are artists. Starting from a small thing, it is fresh and natural on the whole. I wonder if you want to write about the mutual healing between them? You can add more plots. I hope you will grow through continuous practice. I wish you a happy writing journey!
