Two male leads: a cold, taciturn Taoist priest versus a cute and beautiful fox spirit.
Shen Jiusi hates demons, especially fox spirits, yet he ends up saving Hu Xiu. He acts cold and heartless, but can't keep his hands off Hu Xiu's tail.
Hu Xiu has Fire Spirit Fox blood, but he's a half-human, half-fox simpleton. He follows Shen Jiusi around to exorcise demons and catch ghosts, dying once and getting struck by lightning once, before finally resolving to devote himself to cultivation. When they meet again, he has become a beautiful, bewitching great demon.
