Overworked office drone Lin Weiwei dies suddenly after working overtime and transmigrates into Huai Shu, a cannon-fodder princess who dies young in My Fair Princess.
Seeing the fish pond in the imperial garden where she’s about to drown, she promptly decides to cling to the Empress Dowager and lie low to stay alive.
She thought she could avoid palace intrigue, lie flat, and watch the drama unfold. Who knew the plot would force her into the thick of things?
Xiao Yanzi gets beaten? She slips her a design for a kneeling stool.
Ziwei gets stuck with needles? She sneaks her some palace-exclusive wound medicine in the middle of the night.
The Empress is plotting something? She sends the main cast a warning note in advance.
Just when everyone thinks Huai Shu is nothing more than a frail, invisible presence...
The Empress Dowager praises her: “That child is so composed and sensible.”
Qianlong commends her: “Huai Shu has the makings of a great commander.”
Ziwei and Xiao Yanzi cling to her: “Little sister, you’re our lifesaving secret weapon!”
Even Fu Ertai, who was supposed to leave for Mongolia, corners her beneath the palace walls, his eyes red: “How many more surprises are you hiding from me?”
Huai Shu waves her hands in feigned panic. “I’m just an ordinary princess!”
In her head, she’s screaming: Don’t expose my secret identity! I just want to quietly survive until the ending!
Overall, the front part is pretty good and I quite like it. But the back part is too high-spirited towards the heroine, which makes it seem unreal. Moreover, it feels like the heroine and Ertai suddenly got together without any communication. In fact, I like Qing'er more in the TV series. I think I can bring Qing'er with me when I do something.
I picked this up from Wenhuang, I can read it, it's okay, I'm not going to abuse it at the moment (I'm passing by if I love reading sweet articles)
Very nice! Come on
