A Confession from the Past

In a high school under pandemic restrictions, two lonely souls grow closer through online classes.

He is Yufeng. With his parents away, he is used to living alone.

She is Su Yuqing. Carrying the secret of a broken family, she has built a wall of silence around herself.

An unexpected appointment as class representative for math brings them into the same study group. From exchanging solutions through their screens, to trusting each other through a storm of anonymous messages, to the transparent barrier of “health observation” after they return to school: in days when they cannot touch, understanding becomes a deeper bond than companionship.

In the coldest season, they begin clumsily learning how to warm each other. This is a story of wounds and healing, silence and understanding. Like holly growing quietly in a winter corner, they wait for spring to break the ice.
