The Calamity of the Delusional Star

As an old bookworm, the "realism" of this book made my eyes shine. The system of cultivating immortals is not suspended: the realms of quenching energy, casting world, and condensing stars are clearly divided, the use of attributes (light, rock, metal, fire, and space) is logical, and even the skills can be adjusted according to oneself, and the details are verified online. The characters are also not stereotyped: Mo Yumo is lonely and confused, Fan Luoluo is lively and kind, Mu Kurong is resolute and silent, and even the villain Blood Pavilion Master has a clear motive. The emotional description is more delicate. Mo Yumo's longing for his grandmother is hidden in the barrel of his gun, and his cherishment of his friends is reflected in every interaction. It is not dramatic, but it moves people in a steady stream. The battle scenes include both grand sect battles and small-scale encounters. The descriptions have different emphases and are neither repetitive nor perfunctory. Recommended to all readers who like growth lines + hard-core immortality cultivation!

What attracts me most about this novel is its "non-conventional" nature. There are no brainless cheats, no forced CP formation, and no bloody villains, everything goes as planned. Mo Yumo's growth relies on persistence and wisdom, Fan Luoluo's kindness is not silly, Mu Kurong's care is not a tool, and Lin Wanyue's loneliness is not a pretense. The battle descriptions are very professional, including the use of attributes, skill games, and mood contests. Each battle is logical, making it enjoyable to watch and enriching your knowledge. The construction of the worldview is also very complete. The sect rules, contribution point system, and eight domain forces make the world of immortality more real. In addition, the author's writing style is very delicate. Whether it is environmental description or psychological description, it is very accurate and gives a full sense of immersion. As a bookworm, I highly recommend this novel, it deserves to be seen by more people!

As a reader who likes growth lines, every breakthrough of Mo Yumo makes my blood boil. From the first level of Energy Tempering to the sixth level of Casting World, he did not rely on cheating, but relied on nine years of dormancy, life and death fighting, and the guidance of famous teachers. This kind of down-to-earth growth is so convincing, it makes me understand that "there is no shortcut to cultivating immortality, only perseverance and precipitation." The author has a deep understanding of the system of cultivating immortals. It not only includes the division of realms, but also the cultivation of state of mind (asking for the path of the mind), the adjustment of skills (subtle changes in "Liaoyuan Qian Jue"), and the use of attributes (penetration of light, defense of rocks), so that cultivating immortals is no longer just "killing monsters and upgrading". In addition, the language of the novel is very delicate, and the description of the environment (the tranquility of Shenxing Valley, the prosperity of Duyun City) and the psychological description (Mo Yumo's loneliness, Fan Luoluo's kindness) are very good, and the sense of immersion is full. Recommended to all readers who don't like mindless cool articles and prefer hard-core growth lines!

There are so many advantages in this novel, and I would like to pick three that stood out to me: ① Three-dimensional character creation: the protagonist is imperfect but real, and the supporting characters have their own stories. Luo Xingya's light attribute is fierce, Fan Luoluo's alchemy talent, Mu Kurong's metal and fire are strong, and the characters are distinctive; ② The combat description is professional: it is not a simple numerical crushing, but a contest of skills, attributes, and moods, the light versus rock in the sword-asking platform, Mu Kurong vs. Jiang Yiwei's gold-fire versus fire space is enjoyable and logical; ③ The foreshadowing is natural: Tianxing's identity, grandma's whereabouts, Granny Mu's background, and the truth about Mo Yumo's time travel. Every mystery makes me want to follow it. The only shortcoming is that some supporting characters have slightly less roles, such as Lin Wanyue's past and Zhou Ting's follow-up, but overall it does not affect the reading experience. It is one of the best fairy tales I have read recently!

The worldview construction of this novel is so layered! From the small mountain village of Qingshui Village, to the hidden valley of Chenxing Valley, to the prosperous giant city of Duyun City, and the holy land of immortal cultivation at Fushengmen, it unfolds step by step, without being abrupt or confusing. The settings of the eight domains (Floating Cloud, Sky Sky, Yue Xuan, etc.) And the division of forces (Fushengmen, Buyue Tower, Blood Wolf Sect, Wood Puppet Sect) are clear, which lays a sufficient stage for the subsequent plot. The character portraits are also very exciting. The protagonist Mo Yumo is tough and brave, and the supporting characters have their own characteristics: Fan Luoluo is lively and kind, Mu Kurong is resolute and silent, Lin Wanyue is lonely and powerful, and Mu Granny is mysterious and wise. The battle descriptions include both grand sect battles and small-scale encounters. Each scene has its highlights and is neither repetitive nor perfunctory. What surprised me the most was the detail control in the novel. Mo Yumo's blue-scale iron spear, Fan Luoluo's elixir, and Mu Kurong's molten gold torch. These props all carry the emotions of the characters and the advancement of the plot. The details are perfect!

The pressure of the college entrance examination and the background of the welfare home in the prologue made Mo Yumo's "loneliness" stand firm. The new life after time travel is not abrupt, but like "another kind of relief". The nine-year hibernation in Chenxing Valley was written very patiently. There was no rush to make the protagonist stronger, but allowed him to polish his character and accumulate strength in the ordinary. Grandma Mu's teachings are amazing. She not only teaches exercises and herbal medicines, but also teaches the survival wisdom of "knowing oneself and knowing the enemy". Mo Yumo's growth is not only about his cultivation, but also about his mind. The selection phase of the Fusheng Sect was so exciting. The test of will in the heart-searching stage and the life-and-death showdown in the martial arts stage. Every level has something to watch. In addition, the emotional description of the novel is very restrained but touching. Grandma's sacrifice, Granny Mu's care, and Su Tao's brother and sister's company. There are no sensational lines, but the details are poignant. I look forward to seeing Mo Yumo reveal the whereabouts of his grandmother and the truth about the massacre of the village in the future, and also look forward to his development in Fushengmen!

What moved me most was the "emotional core" of the novel - not revenge for the sake of revenge, but finding oneself and protecting the people you cherish in revenge. Mo Yumo went from being confused and helpless at the beginning to having clear goals and mature mind. His growth was not only an improvement in his cultivation, but also a transformation of his mind. The author's description of family and friendship is very delicate: Grandma's sacrifice, Granny Mu's teachings, Su Tao's brother and sister's company, Mu Kurong's care, these warmth supported Mo Yumo through the darkest time. The setting of the world of cultivating immortals is also very complete. The sect rules, contribution point system, and eight domain forces make this world more real and credible. The battle scenes include both grand sect battles and small-scale life-and-death battles. The descriptions are graphic and neither repetitive nor bloody. We look forward to the subsequent development of Mo Yumo in Fushengmen and the final showdown between Buyuelou and the Blood Wolf Sect. I believe the author can bring us more surprises!

The pacing control of this novel is a textbook! The slow-time presentation (recuperation in Chenxing Valley, daily life of the sect) is used to shape the characters and polish the character; the fast-time explosion (village massacre, attack, selection) is used to advance the plot and create excitement. There is a degree of relaxation, no procrastination and no water filling. The relationship between the characters is also handled comfortably, and there is no forced CP: Mo Yumo and Fan Luoluo are pure friends, and Mu Kurong is a sympathetic senior brother, and Lin Wanyue is a fellow student who respects each other. This kind of setting that does not engage in bloody emotional lines and focuses on growth and revenge is too rare in online novels. The construction of the worldview also has levels. From Qingshui Village to Duyun City, from Fushengmen to the Eight Realms, the step-by-step unfolding is not abrupt, and the entanglements of forces (Buyue Tower, Blood Wolf Sect, Fushengmen) are naturally buried, and you will be full of more to follow!

From the prologue to the latest chapter, what impressed me most was Mo Yumo's "loneliness and tenacity". I am an orphan in an orphanage and a high school scumbag in the earth era. Loneliness is my background. After traveling through the Tucun Village and losing my relatives, I have been dormant for nine years in Shenxing Valley. I have perseverance as my armor. The author does not give any golden fingers to the brainless. His growth depends entirely on his down-to-earth experience - practicing survival in the wilderness to gain basic skills, Granny Mu teaching exercises to understand survival, and gaining experience through sect tasks. This steady growth line is more convincing than Shuangwen, and the character arc is so complete that it makes people empathize. In addition, the description of the battle is too professional, not only the collision of realms, but also the use of attributes, the game of skills, the duel between light vs. Rock, metal and fire vs. Fire in space, which is enjoyable to watch and increases your knowledge. The only small regret is that Lin Wanyue's background information is too little. I hope it can be expanded in the follow-up!

Time travel + immortality + revenge, the elements are complete, and the male protagonist's growth line is well written.
