I'm Nohara Shinnosuke, and I Beat Conan with Absurdity

I, Nohara Shinnosuke, solved a murder case on my first day as a transfer student, one that the Beika Police Station had been stumped by for three days.

Edogawa Conan, the elementary schooler known as the Holmes of the Heisei Era, stared at me in utter shock.

As a seven-year-old transfer student who had just moved to Beika Town, I thought the only thing this place had more of was pretty older girls.

Then I discovered:

Conan was always shooting Uncle Kogoro with a tranquilizer dart at crime scenes. Haibara smelled like a laboratory, and three of my classmates played “detective” every day, yet somehow kept stumbling across murder cases.

Oh, and at the Poirot Cafe across the street, at least one person died every week.

With my one-of-a-kind “abstract crime-solving method,” I became Beika’s crime-busting nemesis.

The deduction Conan had stayed up for three days working on fell apart in three sentences from me.

Then things started to get weird.

The blond FBI teacher kept secretly watching me. Brother Amuro from the cafe hid a wiretap in his sandwich. Even the long-haired guy in black who drove a Porsche had started keeping an eye on me.

Conan finally lost it and knocked on my window in the middle of the night. “Shin-chan, do you know that multiple factions are watching you?”

I crunched on a potato chip. “Sure, but they’re not as scary as Mom’s hamburger steak.”

Then, on that rainy night, Gin’s gun was pressed against my forehead.

I blinked. “Mister, your trigger finger is shaking, like it’s your first date.”

His hand really did shake.

Now Conan is begging me to join the good guys, Haibara is developing an intuition translator for me, and Ayumi says she wants to be my personal bodyguard.

Meanwhile, the Organization’s top brass has issued a new order:

“Capture that child alive, at any cost.”
