Relatively Realistic Apocalypse Stories

Are there any actual zombie-apocalypse stories? Other kinds are fine too. The protagonist shouldn't be absurdly overpowered, or a womanizer with a harem. I'd like something fairly grounded, with side characters who aren't idiots.
